Dreams

Why do we dream the way we do? After taking Psychology, that question is theoretically easier to answer. Although after hearing Freud's theory, I might disagree with that. From my understanding of dreams, which is very limited, dreams happen for multiple different reasons. Luckily there are a lot more updated models of what happens when you dream.

Anything in your dreams is something you've seen in real life. It can be a combination of things. It could be something from a comic book. It will just be something your brain is processing. Sleeping is how your brain processes information for the day, sorting and deciding what is needed. So, a random dog or person you saw for ten seconds on the walk might show up in your dreams when you are processing the information of the day.

Dreams happen in the stay of sleep called REM. There are many different stages of sleep but in REM you dream. Dreams are the time to process information. Overall, dreams are very crazy and very weird. Whether you remember your dream or not depends on the time you wake up in REM. Everybody dreams. So everyone should know why they dream.
