Perfection Microtheme

    I was struggling a lot with finding a good theme for my paper. I did not feel particularly passionate about any topic, and I did not want to pick a major problem as my topic. So, I was very stuck. I kept going back and forth between different themes. I tried looking up ideas and looking to see if anything online sparked an idea, but I was trapped in a loop of no inspiration. It was plaguing my thoughts all day until my aunt handed me a hook and some yarn and said, "I thought you mentioned wanting to learn how to crochet". 

    I know I should not care this much about a micro theme. I know it really can be anything and does not have to be perfect, but I wanted to be good my first time. So, with a hook in one hand and yarn in the other, my grandma attempted to teach me how to crochet. To be fair, she was pretty successful, and I figured out the basics well enough. Although, when working on it last night and today I didn't understand why I wasn't better. It had only been one day, I had never crochet in my life. Though, after seeing and knowing others who crochet so well, I assumed I should be able to do so too. Thats when the idea for my theme clicked. Why do people assume they should be just as good at something that others have been doing for years?

    So, after all this time, I figured out what to write for my mircotheme. I am not sure if I will be able to pull off this topic. I am not sure if the topic is a small enough of a vision. However, I want to try, not in hopes of being perfect at this type of writing I have never done before but to challenge myself. Hopefully, after reading my paper you too could see why I planned to do this.
