Tired Rain

I think any day that it rains feels like a Sunday. Even on sunny Sundays, it feels like drowsy and wet. Rainy days always pull me down into a level of exhaustion I cannot explain. Even when I get enough sleep it feels like the rain makes me want to just curl up into bed again. All I want is to settle down with a good show and comfy clothes and not go to class maybe. Yet, I will still go to my classes, drifting off when looking through the water droplet-covered windows.

The rainy season is always long. Longer than I think any of us would like. Despite the fact, I know many people love the rain and find comfort in its coziness. I would rather be awake during the day than struggle to get through the end of a semester. The rainy season always comes at the end of the semester. So, while I drown in textbooks the world flashes up with lightning and crashing rain.

At the end of the day, I wish the rain wouldn't hold on as long as it does. Keeping us all stuck in sleepy weather in an already tiring time. I want to be able to enjoy the outside and the sun even when I am stuck spending the day studying. People say the sun makes students crazier because they rather be outside. However, I think the rain is what really gets to students. Rain makes every lecture drain no matter how exciting or interesting it is. Rain drains people as the water is drained through the Earth.
