CARD 101

     Over a semester, I feel like I have made many improvements in different areas. Some are feeling more comfortable socially, learning to communicate with peers, learning to communicate with Dr. Kyburz, and learning different writing styles. 

    I have gotten a lot more comfortable with talking and being social with peers during the semester. I have made so many friends in this class. Everyone I have gotten to know has been amazing and a great support when needed. I learned a bit more about making friends and they truly are so kind. I will keep working on being more social, but it is definitely a challenging thing to learn. It will be something to work on for a large chunk of my life.

    I get scared a lot when it comes to talking to adults or facility members. Asking questions has always been a weak point in my academic career. This semester I had tried to push myself out of my comfort zone and ask questions when confused about anything. Dr. Kyburz has been very helpful when it came to helping navigate and answer these questions. I also tried to learn a bit about just building connections with professors. I do not think I did the best job but I appreciate the efforts of professors to help me be successful.

    Lastly, and most importantly in this course, I learned a lot of different writing styles. I really enjoyed trying to write in different ways. I felt like I was able to be confident with my writing at the end of the day even if it was something new. The content was amazing and fun to write about. I think every bit of this class was very beneficial.

    Overall, this class has been amazing. I am so thankful for everything I have learned and the friends I have met. There were times when it was not easy, but I am still proud that I was able to do what I did.
